The Range Officer configuration delivers a Government-size 1911 with a forged 4140 carbon-steel frame and slide, finished in matte Parkerized for a uniform, duty-ready appearance. It uses a stainless 5-inch barrel and bushing, and retains a Series 70-type firing system without a firing-pin block. A GI-style short guide rod with a checkered recoil-spring plug maintains a traditional setup.
Sight regulation is built around a fully adjustable target rear sight with a click elevation screw, paired to a plain dovetailed front blade. Rear-only cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port support reliable manipulation and case clearance.
Controls are classic 1911 with a single-action trigger, grip safety, and thumb safety. The long, skeletonized 3-hole trigger and skeletonized commander-style hammer provide a clean interface for the shooter. The checkered wooden grip panels feature a laser-engraved Springfield cross-cannon logo, with the right panel marked 'RANGE OFFICER' for model identification.
