Built on the 1911 platform in Kimber's Ultra size (3-inch barrel, Officer-length frame), this Ultra Covert II uses an aluminum-alloy frame paired with a steel slide, both finished in matte gray. The slide is factory marked 'ULTRA COVERT' and 'CUSTOM SHOP,' with the right side marked 'KIMBER YONKERS NY USA.' The barrel hood is stamped '.45 ACP.'
The 3-inch bushingless stainless bull barrel is flush-cut at the muzzle for a clean profile. The slide includes slanted rear serrations, a lowered and flared ejection port, and Kimber's carry melt dehorning to reduce sharp edges.
Sight configuration consists of fixed 3-dot tritium night sights, with a low-profile Tactical Wedge rear and a fixed tritium front. These factory sights provide a clear, durable aiming setup.
Controls and fire-control components include a single-action system with an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety. The skeletonized 3-hole trigger and skeletonized hammer contribute to a responsive, familiar 1911 trigger feel.
Factory Crimson Trace Lasergrips in digital camouflage integrate a red laser with a standard Crimson Trace activation pad (no Kimber logo). The Kimber script logo is molded into the side grip panel insert. The front strap and mainspring housing feature fine checkering for secure purchase, and a beveled magazine well aids smooth reloads. Capacity is 7+1 with the included 7-round magazine.
