Built on a Government-length 1911 frame and slide, this Classic Stainless Target uses a 5-inch barrel, stainless steel construction, and a matte bead-blasted finish throughout. The frame bears the Yonkers, NY marking and the pistol is made in the USA. Capacity is 7+1 with single-stack magazines.
The sighting system is set up for precision: a dovetailed front blade pairs with a fully adjustable square-notch rear target sight, complete with windage and elevation screws. Front and rear cocking serrations aid manipulation, while the ejection port is both lowered and flared.
Controls and ergonomics include a left-side manual thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump, and a textured magazine release. The pistol is fitted with a skeletonized commander-style hammer and a lightened three-hole aluminum trigger. The mainspring housing is vertically grooved, the front strap is smooth, and the magwell is lightly beveled for easier reloads.
The operating system retains classic 1911 elements: a GI-style short guide rod with a standard plug and a traditional barrel-bushing setup. It comes with checkered synthetic grip panels installed, with optional wrap-around finger-groove grips included if a different feel is preferred.
