Product Description

Tula SKS-45 Russian 1950 in 7.62x39, Mostly Matching Numbers, 20.5 in Barrel, Blued, Folding Knife Bayonet

This Russian SKS-45 was produced at Tula in 1950 and retains classic, correct features from that year. It presents with mostly matching numbers (non‑matching trigger guard bow), Tula star and 1950г marking on the receiver cover and a 1951г stock cartouche, and a blued finish over a milled steel receiver. The folding knife-blade bayonet and in-the-white bolt group round out a clean, collectible Cold War example.

    What’s Included

    • Folding knife-blade bayonet (in-the-white), installed

Made at Tula Arsenal in 1950, this SKS-45 carries the Tula star over 1950г on the receiver cover and a Tula star cartouche with 1951г on the stock butt. These factory markings, combined with a blued finish on a milled steel receiver, align with a desirable early Russian configuration from the Cold War era.

The rifle is chambered in 7.62x39 with a 20.5-inch barrel and a fixed 10-round internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate. Its operating system is semi-automatic with a short-stroke gas piston and a tilting-bolt locking design. Length of pull measures 12.5 inches.

Sighting equipment includes a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight leaf graduated 1–10 with a 'П' battle notch. The hardwood stock wears a reddish shellac finish and is paired with a wood upper handguard. A rear sling swivel with a wire loop is fitted to the stock.

Numbering is mostly matching with a Cyrillic prefix 3Ш observed across the receiver, receiver cover, bolt carrier, bolt, magazine floorplate, stock, and electro‑penciled on the gas tube; the trigger guard bow is non‑matching, stamped 3Ш 546. The bolt and bolt carrier are left in-the-white. The folding knife-blade bayonet, also in-the-white, is mounted to the front-sight base lug. Import marks include 'MADE IN RUSSIA', 'C.D.I. SWAN, VT', and '7.62x39', along with an importer-applied number.
