The HK45 Tactical configuration centers on a 5.11 in threaded barrel with factory metric left-hand threads (M16x1 LH). The barrel is cold hammer forged, uses polygonal rifling, and incorporates an accuracy-enhancing O-ring at the muzzle. Suppressor-height sights pair a front blade with a luminous dot to a square-notch rear for a clear sight picture over the threaded muzzle.
This model uses a DA/SA action with an external hammer and includes an ambidextrous manual safety, ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release, and ambidextrous slide releases. A loaded-chamber indicator is integrated into the extractor for at-a-glance status checks.
The slide wears HK's hostile environment carbon-nitride finish, and the reinforced polymer frame features the HK45 ergonomic arc-pattern grip with modular backstraps. An integral MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail supports weapon lights or other rail-mounted accessories.
