Introduced on July 11, 2023, the M&P22 Magnum pairs .22 WMR performance with Smith & Wesson's TEMPO two-part, gas-operated barrel system. This full-size pistol features a 4.35 in stainless steel barrel and a stainless slide, both finished in black Armornite. It comes with three 10-round magazines, ambidextrous controls, fiber-optic front sighting, and an installed ArmaLaser GTO red laser.

The TEMPO two-part, gas-operated barrel system delays cycling until the bullet passes the gas port, supporting reliable function with .22 WMR. The barrel measures 4.35 in and is made from stainless steel with an Armornite nitride finish.
Construction is centered on a stainless steel slide and barrel finished in black Armornite over a black polymer frame. The slide is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A." with the model designation "M&P 22 MAGNUM."
Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and ambidextrous slide stop, with a left-side magazine release. The flat-faced trigger incorporates a safety blade. Capacity is 10+1, and the integral 3-slot Picatinny rail provides mounting space for accessories.
Sighting is straightforward with a green fiber-optic front and a rear notch. An ArmaLaser GTO red laser is installed on the rail for an additional aiming option.
