This 940 Pro Tactical SPX uses Mossberg's gas-operated, semi-automatic action with a 3" chamber. Capacity is 7+1 with 2.75 in shells. The 18.5 in barrel is steel with a matte blued finish and is fitted with an Accu-Choke Cylinder tube (Cyl choke). Sights consist of a receiver-mounted ghost ring on a removable plate and a wing-protected green fiber-optic front for quick sight alignment.
The receiver is aluminum and supports a direct-mount RMSc-footprint micro-dot interface under the removable ghost-ring plate. Controls are purposefully enlarged for easy access, including an oversized, knurled charging handle and an enlarged bolt release. The loading port is beveled and paired with a pinch-free elevator and an orange follower for confident loading.
Operating components such as the gas piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear are nickel-boron coated to enhance corrosion resistance and promote cleaner operation. The shotgun retains Mossberg's tang safety.
The black synthetic stock provides an adjustable length of pull using included spacers (factory 13.5 in; adjustable approximately 12.5–14.25 in). It also offers a recoil pad and shim-adjustable drop/cast to fine-tune fit. The polymer forend incorporates M-LOK slots. Forward sling attachment is handled by the barrel/magazine clamp’s pass-through slot or by adding an M-LOK QD adapter, providing flexible mounting options.
