The P4.5 HD uses a full-size steel frame on the 2011 platform with ambidextrous manual thumb safeties, a Series 80-style firing-pin block, and an external extractor. A captive flat-wire recoil system supports duty-oriented reliability. Machined frame thumb ledges and a fixed beavertail with no grip safety provide a consistent interface.
Its 4.5 inch bull, bushingless barrel features a flush target crown and an integral sight block. The barrel-mounted front fiber-optic sight remains stationary through cycling, while a fixed rear sight sits forward of the slide’s back edge. Forward, rear, and top slide serrations aid manipulation.
A polymer grip module with aggressive texture and an integral flared magwell speeds reloads and maintains control. The full-length dustcover carries a multi-slot M1913 Picatinny rail for mounting compatible accessories.
Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 17+1 capacity, the P4.5 HD uses Staccato/2011 double-stack 9mm steel magazines. It includes iron sights from the factory and is built in the USA in Florence, Texas.
