This Intratec Mod. TEC-9 is a pre-ban, TEC-9-marked example produced before the 1994 federal assault weapons ban, representing the earlier name variant that preceded the DC-9 rename. Made in the USA, it features the model-specific tubular steel upper, polymer grip frame, and a ventilated two-piece barrel shroud. It comes outfitted with an installed Vortex Crossfire red dot and includes three magazines.

The pistol is a full-size, simple blowback, striker-fired, closed-bolt design chambered in 9mm Luger. It is marked on the left magwell block with 'INTRATEC MIAMI FLA. 9 MM LUGER MOD. TEC-9 PATENTS PENDING', aligning with the earlier TEC-9 designation that predates the DC-9 rename.
Construction follows the model’s recognizable pattern: a tubular steel upper receiver over a polymer grip frame, paired with a ventilated two-piece barrel shroud featuring perforations and longitudinal slots plus a front cylindrical cap. The barrel length is 5 inches.
Controls and layout include a knurled charging handle with a locking notch/detent and a right-side ejection port. Sighting equipment is a basic iron-sight setup with a rear notch, and the pistol also provides front and rear sling loops.
Capacity is 30+1. This example includes three magazines (one 30-round and two 20-round, unmarked steel) and an installed Vortex Crossfire red dot mounted on the top strap.
