The semi-automatic, blowback action incorporates an anti-bounce breechblock decelerator and uses Ruger’s patented detachable 10-round rotary magazine design. Controls include a right-side charging handle and a cross-bolt safety.
The 18.5-inch tapered round barrel is alloy steel and secured to the receiver via Ruger’s V-block two-screw attachment system. Sights consist of a ramped blade front on a banded base and a barrel-mounted rear leaf sight with an elevation slide.
The receiver is aluminum alloy with a durable hard-coat anodized finish and is drilled and tapped on top with four holes for a scope base. The rifle’s exterior finish is blued/black.
The hardwood stock features a classic barrel band and a curved metal buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
