It uses an internal blind 4-round magazine and a bolt body left in the white. Controls include a three-position tang safety and a non-AccuTrigger with a curved shoe.

The 22 in carbon-steel sporter barrel wears a matte blued finish, while the carbon-steel receiver is left in the white with a matte silver appearance. There are no iron sights. The action is paired with two-piece scope bases, with rings and a mounted optic already in place.

An installed Simmons 8-Point 4-12x40 scope with a crosshair reticle provides variable magnification from 4x to 12x and a 40 mm objective. The scope is mounted with rings on two-piece bases for a secure setup.

Made in the United States, the barrel is marked Westfield, Massachusetts. The Model 200 served as Savage’s budget bolt-action prior to the Axis series, delivering a straightforward configuration with core features shooters expect.
