- Right-side, receiver-mounted aluminum shell carrier with integrated Picatinny top rail (installed)
The M1014 operates via Benelli's Auto-Regulating Gas-Operated (ARGO) twin-piston system with a rotating bolt head. It is chambered for 2 3/4 in or 3 in shells and uses a full-length magazine tube for a 7+1 capacity with 2 3/4 in shells. The 18.5 in steel barrel balances compact handling with reliable cycling.
Sighting is handled by a protected front post and an adjustable ghost-ring rear with protective wings. A screw-attached Picatinny top rail is mounted to the receiver, and the installed receiver-mounted aluminum shell carrier integrates beneath this rail for secure on-gun ammunition storage.
The stock is a telescoping, collapsible, multi-position polymer unit with a pistol grip, allowing quick length-of-pull adjustments. A two-piece polymer forend with molded ribs and textured panels provides a stable, non-slip hold.
Markings include the receiver rollmark "12GA. - M1014 - BENELLI - ITALY," the import mark "BENELLI U.S.A. CORP - ACCOKEEK MD - MADE IN ITALY," and barrel text "12 GA. 3" - 76 mm - FOR 2 3/4" OR 3" SHELLS." Italian proof/date code IT22 is present on the receiver and barrel, with additional proof symbols on the bolt body, which is marked "Benelli Armi System." The receiver is aluminum alloy with a matte black refinish, and the receiver face carries an American flag engraving forward of the bolt-release.
