The New Model Single-Six Convertible is a six-shot, single-action revolver with a right-side loading gate, the standard crescent/serrated ejector button at the front of the rod housing, and a separate knurled cylinder base-pin head adjacent to the frame. It incorporates Ruger’s transfer-bar safety system and is configured here with the .22 LR fluted cylinder installed, plus a .22 WMR non-fluted spare.
Construction includes brushed/satin stainless on the barrel, cylinder, and frame. The grip frame/trigger-guard casting is a silver/anodized aluminum alloy. Smooth hardwood grips with Ruger medallions complete the classic Single-Six profile while complementing the stainless finish.
Sighting equipment consists of a ramped black front blade and a fully adjustable black rear sight, offering practical adjustment for elevation and windage across .22 LR and .22 WMR loads.
Factory markings include the barrel-top legend "STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN., U.S.A." and the frame marking "RUGER .22 CAL. NEW MODEL SINGLE-SIX." This example aligns with Ruger’s KNR-6 configuration from the 1970s and was made in the United States.
