The Scorpion EVO 3 S1 uses a straight blowback, semi-automatic action with an ambidextrous manual safety marked by 0/1 pictograms. The ejection port is on the right, and the charging handle is installed on the left; it is non-reciprocating and reversible for left/right use. The polymer receiver and a removable polymer pistol grip provide a durable, lightweight foundation.
Factory sights include an adjustable protected post front and an adjustable rotary multi-aperture diopter rear. A full-length MIL-STD-1913 top rail is paired with removable bolt-on polymer Picatinny rail sections on the sides and bottom of the handguard, offering ample mounting space. The polymer fore-end incorporates a small integral front hand stop.
The 7.72-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a cylindrical ported muzzle device. This setup supports common 9mm muzzle devices while maintaining compact overall length.
Markings include "MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC" and "CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS." The included factory test sheet documents a 25 m evaluation with Sellier & Bellot ammunition dated 7 May 2015. One 20-round "CZ MAG" (marked for 9x19/9x21) is included, yielding a 20+1 capacity.
