It comes with an 18 in cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined S2W barrel, a factory two-position adjustable gas block, and ambidextrous controls throughout. The 15.0 free-float M-LOK handguard with a continuous T-marked top Picatinny rail, a 4-bolt upper/barrel interface, and an enhanced coated bolt carrier group round out a robust build made in the United States.

The 18 in steel barrel features a cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined interior with an S2W profile and phosphate finish. It uses a 1:10 twist and is threaded, fitted at the muzzle with a multi-port brake/compensator. A rifle-length gas system and a factory two-position adjustable gas block (suppressed/unsuppressed) provide configurable operation.
The DD5 platform uses a 4-bolt upper/barrel interface and an enhanced, coated bolt carrier group. The upper includes a forward assist and an ejection-port cover. Receivers are aluminum with a black hard-coat anodized finish.
Controls are ambidextrous, including the safety selector, magazine release, and a right-side bolt catch/release. The GRIP-N-RIP ambidextrous charging handle with extended latches offers access from either side. The rifle includes a Daniel Defense pistol grip with overmold texture and an adjustable stock with an installed recoil pad.
The DD5 Rail 15.0 free-float aluminum handguard provides M-LOK compatibility along with a continuous, T-marked top Picatinny rail. The system accepts SR-25 pattern magazines, and this rifle ships with one 20-round Magpul PMAG GEN M3. Capacity is 20+1 in 7.62 NATO (7.62x51).
