The 20-inch steel barrel is threaded and fitted from the factory with a multi-port muzzle brake, providing a ready-to-use setup. The free-float aluminum KeyMod handguard is the Gen 2 configuration without a continuous top rail. Two short KeyMod Picatinny rail sections are installed for accessory placement, while the receiver itself carries an integral top Picatinny rail section.
The action uses a three-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw for smooth cycling. An aluminum bolt shroud is present, consistent with this generation. Safety elements include a manual safety lever and a trigger safety blade. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable single-stage trigger allows user adjustment and includes an integral safety blade.
The chassis stock folds to the left and offers an adjustable comb and adjustable length of pull, paired with an AR-type pistol grip for familiar ergonomics. Core materials include a steel receiver and an aluminum handguard. This rifle was manufactured in 2017 in the United States.
Feeding is via a detachable box magazine, and Ruger's Multi-Magazine Interface accommodates both AICS and SR-25/DPMS/Magpul-pattern magazines. One 25-round Magpul PMAG LR/SR is included, and the listed capacity is 25+1 in .308 Win.
Note: This example falls within Ruger's aluminum bolt-shroud safety bulletin range.
