The M&P15 platform here uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system paired with a 16-inch barrel and a carbine-length gas system. The barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2 birdcage flash suppressor. A pinned A2 front sight base with bayonet lug and a front sling swivel provide a classic, durable front-end setup.
The upper receiver is a flat-top pattern with a forward assist, ejection-port cover, and case deflector. This configuration supports red-dot co-witness with the fixed front sight and gives a solid mounting surface for optics. The rifle currently has an open reflex red-dot sight installed on a riser with a circle-dot reticle.
Furniture is true to the M4-style carbine layout: ribbed two-piece, carbine-length polymer handguards with delta ring, an A2-pattern pistol grip, and a 6-position adjustable M4-type stock featuring an S&W medallion. The rifle accepts STANAG-pattern magazines and comes with five Magpul PMAG Gen M2 MOE 30-round magazines.
