The CZ 512 Standard is a semi-automatic, blowback-operated rimfire chambered in .22 WMR. Its modular two-piece receiver uses an aluminum-alloy upper and a polymer lower, with right-side ejection and a cylindrical right-side charging handle. A manual bolt hold-open (not last-shot) is a known feature of this model.
The 20.6-inch hammer-forged barrel features a recessed crown and is not threaded. This setup is designed for reliability with .22 WMR while maintaining a traditional rimfire profile.
Classic hardwood furniture includes a straight-comb, uncheckered buttstock and a matching wood forend. Sling swivel studs are installed, and the length of pull measures 13.75 inches. Iron sights include a hooded front post and a tangent rear leaf adjustable for elevation.
This rifle comes with a detachable 5-round magazine for a 5+1 capacity. It is marked "MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC" with CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS import marks and Czech/CIP proofs; the "12" year code indicates 2012 proof. The bolt, receiver, and barrel carry matching serials. The UTG Quick Aim Red/Green Dot (SCP-RD40RGW-A) is mounted on a short, two-screw receiver rail segment and provides selectable red/green dot aiming. The CZ 512 line has been discontinued in the U.S.
market.
