The XD-45 Compact configuration delivers a 4-inch service-length slide over a compact grip frame, providing full-size sight radius and balance with a shorter, easier-to-conceal grip. The forged steel slide and barrel receive a Melonite treatment, and the barrel uses a fully supported feed ramp.
Controls and features are centered on dependable operation: a striker-fired action, an ambidextrous magazine release, and layered safety systems including a trigger safety, grip safety, striker block, and a loaded-chamber indicator. The slide adds front and rear cocking serrations along with the loaded-chamber indicator for quick status checks.
Sight alignment is handled by dovetailed steel 3-dot sights, front and rear. The polymer frame is equipped with an integral single-slot universal accessory rail for lights or other compatible rail-mounted accessories. Molded SA-XD grip panel inserts provide a consistent hold.
This pistol is listed on the California DOJ roster as XD9645 and ships with 10-round compact magazines for a 10+1 capacity.
