This Miroku Liberty Chief is a compact, six-shot .38 Special snub-nose revolver from the 1960s with a polished blued steel finish. Built in Japan and imported in limited numbers, it blends design cues associated with Colt Detective Special and S&W concepts while retaining its own character. It features a 2-inch barrel with a serrated rib, fixed sights, and an exposed hammer, and it is currently fitted with Pachmayr Compac rubber grips (aftermarket).

Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

    What's Included

    • Miroku Liberty Chief .38 Special revolver with Pachmayr Compac rubber grips (aftermarket)

The Liberty Chief pairs a 2-inch steel barrel with a longitudinally serrated rib for glare reduction and visual alignment. Its fixed ramped front blade and integral rear notch deliver a simple, durable sight picture suited to a compact carry format.

The six-shot, fluted steel cylinder retains the original unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip, and the left-side checkered cylinder release latch offers familiar, straightforward operation.

Construction is all-steel with a polished blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The action is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer and a checkered spur for confident manipulation.

Factory markings include "LIBERTY CHIEF" on the frame, "MIROKU FIREARMS MFG. CO." for the manufacturer, and ".38 SPECIAL CALIBER" on the barrel. Produced in Japan during the 1960s and imported in limited numbers, this model is less common on the U.S. market and shows hybrid design influences from both Colt and S&W approaches.

This example is currently fitted with Pachmayr Compac rubber grips (aftermarket), giving it a secure, modern grip profile while preserving the compact six-shot snub-nose format.
