The slide is configured with front and rear cocking serrations and top lightening cuts. Sight alignment is handled by a green fiber-optic front sight paired with a fully adjustable rear sight.
The aluminum-alloy frame uses a beavertail profile with a pronounced undercut to promote a high grip. Checkering on the frontstrap adds traction, and the smooth, undercut trigger guard complements the grip. The full-length dust cover integrates a 4-slot Picatinny accessory rail.
A removable flared magazine well speeds reloads, and the flat-faced, skeletonized trigger complements the single-action-only mechanism. The external hammer and ambidextrous manual thumb safety provide familiar, positive control.
Legion-specific touches include the chevron grip motif and slide logo. The right-side slide is marked "SIG SAUER INC., NEWINGTON–NH–USA." This pistol is identified by mfg part number 226X5-9-LEGION and is made in the USA.
