This Smith & Wesson CSX E-Series is a recent-release, metal-frame micro-compact chambered in 9mm Luger. It combines a single-action, hammer-fired system with an aluminum-alloy frame, an E-Series trigger, and an optics-ready ClearSight slide cut for RMSc/507K footprint optics. It comes with three 12-round factory magazines, interchangeable backstraps, and a factory box.

The CSX uses a compact, aluminum-alloy metal frame with an external hammer and a single-action operating system. Ambidextrous manual thumb safeties and ambidextrous slide stop levers support left- or right-handed use. Interchangeable backstraps allow basic grip size adjustment while maintaining the micro footprint.
The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and an optics-ready ClearSight cut. A cover plate is installed, and the cut accepts RMSc and 507K footprint optics when the plate is removed. Dovetailed iron sights are installed, with a white-dot front sight from the factory.
The E-Series trigger is single-action with an integral blade safety, designed for a lighter pull and an improved reset. Additional safety is provided by the ambidextrous manual thumb safety and the trigger safety. Factory markings indicate the pistol is capable of firing with the magazine removed.
