This SR-Series 9E is a striker-fired, full-size 9mm with a 4.14-inch barrel and a 17+1 capacity. It pairs an integral trigger safety with a striker blocker, an ambidextrous manual safety, a magazine disconnect, and a loaded-chamber view port for quick status checks.
The slide wears a black oxide finish with rear-only cocking serrations, while the frame is glass-filled nylon for durability and reduced weight. Fixed 3-dot sights include a fixed white-dot front and a fixed square-notch rear set in a dovetail. A reversible backstrap supports simple grip-size adjustment.
An accessory rail on the dust cover accepts M1913 Picatinny-compatible lights and lasers. Dimensions are 7.50 inches in overall length, 5.53 inches in height, and 1.27 inches in width, with an unloaded weight of 27.2 ounces.
As the value-priced Essential variant of the SR9, the 9E uses a chamber view port in place of the SR9's top-mounted loaded-chamber indicator. Production concluded by early 2018, and this example was manufactured in Prescott, Arizona, USA.
