Product Description

    A. Uberti 1861 Navy .36 Cal Cap-and-Ball Revolver, 8-inch Barrel, Blued/Case-Hardened, Made in Italy

This A. Uberti 1861 Navy is a faithful, Italian-made reproduction of the open-top Colt 1861 Navy pattern in .36 caliber. It features an 8-inch round barrel secured by a wedge, a six-shot cylinder roll-engraved with a naval battle scene, and the classic under-barrel loading lever. Steel components wear a blued and color case-hardened finish, complemented by a brass oval trigger guard and brass grip strap, and a one-piece walnut grip.

Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Details: The revolver is in solid shape with visible cosmetic imperfections, including surface scratches, small blemishes, and areas of finish loss.

    What's Included

    • Brown leather belt holster with retention strap and brass hardware
    • Lyman multi-cavity round-ball mold blocks with sprue plate
    • Brass powder flask/measure for black powder
    • Percussion cap punch tool

Built by A. Uberti in Italy, this single-action percussion revolver follows the Colt 1861 Navy pattern with an open-top frame and arbor-and-wedge system visible from the right side. The 8-inch round barrel is wedge-retained, and the under-barrel loading lever is configured for seating round-ball projectiles.

The steel frame and hammer are color case-hardened, while the barrel and cylinder are blued for a classic two-tone look. A thin blade front sight provides a period-correct aiming reference. The brass oval trigger guard and brass grip strap pair with a one-piece walnut grip to complete the traditional configuration.

This six-shot .36-caliber revolver features a roll-engraved cylinder depicting a naval battle scene, a hallmark detail of the 1861 Navy style. The percussion cap-and-ball action operates in single action, consistent with the original pattern.

Markings include UBERTI USA, LAKEVILLE CT and MADE IN ITALY BY A. UBERTI, along with the PN black-powder proof, Gardone/Brescia proof-house mark, and a boxed two-letter Italian date code. These proof and import stamps document its manufacture and proofing in Italy.
