It uses a single-action-only, break-open design with an external hammer for manual cocking and a cross-bolt safety for secure carry. Fixed sights include an integral front blade and a minimal rear notch for a low-profile topstrap.
Built of stainless steel for both the barrel block and the frame, the Stubby wears Bond Arms Rough Series matte stainless finishing for a work-ready appearance. Dimensions are approximately 4.25 in overall length, 0.88 in width, and 3.75 in height, with an unloaded weight around 13.3 oz, making it highly compact and easy to stow.
Controls and ergonomics reflect the minimalist Stubby concept: there is no trigger guard, and the grip is set up with slim black nylon panels featuring molded checkering and star medallions. A vertical STUBBY marking appears on the barrel block, adding model-specific identification at a glance.
