Product Description

Smith & Wesson Victory Model .38 Special Revolver, 2.5 in Barrel, 1944 WWII, Bright Plated Refinish, Stag-Style Grips, British-Proofed

This WWII-era Smith & Wesson Victory Model was manufactured in 1944 and updated with a bright plated refinish and aftermarket stag-style molded grips. It features a short 2.5 inch barrel, fixed sights, and British commercial proof marks on the barrel. The lanyard ring was removed and the butt hole neatly plugged, making this a distinctive, customized example of a wartime K-frame revolver.

    What’s Included

    • Black nylon belt-clip holster with snap-retention strap

Built on a square-butt K-frame with fixed sights, this six-shot Victory Model retains its classic wartime configuration while showcasing custom updates. The gun is double-action/single-action and chambered in .38 Special, with the S&W logo on the frame and a MADE IN U.S.A. rollmark present.

The 2.5 inch carbon steel barrel wears a serrated, ramped front blade, paired with a fixed rear notch integral to the topstrap for a straightforward sight picture. A standard knurled ejector rod and fluted six-shot cylinder complete the familiar S&W layout.

A bright plated refinish (nickel/chrome-like) covers the carbon steel frame, cylinder, and receiver, giving the revolver a reflective appearance. Aftermarket stag-style molded grips complement the finish. The original lanyard ring has been removed, and the butt lanyard hole is neatly plugged.

British commercial proof marks (crown over NP/BNP) are present on the barrel, adding documented export or commercial-proof history to this 1944 U.S.-made revolver. The crane cut shows assembly number 6327 (not the serial), consistent with S&W manufacturing practices of the era.
