This Browning Model 1885 High Wall is a classic single-shot falling-block rifle in .45-70 Gov't with a 28 inch full-length octagon barrel and blued finish. Made in Japan by Miroku in 1996, it features a gloss walnut stock with cut checkering and comes topped with a Leupold VX-3HD 3.5-10x40 CDS-ZL scope. It is a clean, well-cared-for example with quality optics already installed.

Specific Condition Notes: Minor, superficial scratches and small blemishes are present on exterior surfaces.

    What's Included

    • BLACKHAWK! Sportster soft rifle case
    • Leupold VX-3HD 3.5-10x40 CDS-ZL scope (1 in tube, Duplex reticle) — installed
    • Leupold VX-3HD 3.5-10x40 CDS-ZL scope box (1 in tube, Duplex)
    • Two-piece scope bases with rings — installed

This High Wall configuration delivers the strong falling-block action Browning is known for, paired with an exposed hammer and a half-cock notch. The rifle is chambered in .45-70 Gov't and holds one round. Its high wall receiver profile and gold-colored trigger highlight the traditional design.

The 28 inch full-length octagon steel barrel is finished in blued steel, and the bore is clean with sharp rifling. A fixed blade front sight is present. The factory scope mounting holes are drilled and tapped in the barrel flats ahead of the receiver, and this example has two-piece bases and rings installed on the barrel.

Stock furniture is gloss walnut with cut checkering and a semi-pistol-grip profile. Practical touches include a recoil pad and sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.

Manufactured in 1996 by Miroku in Japan for Browning, this rifle is marked "Made in Japan." It is a faithful reproduction of the classic Model 1885 High Wall pattern.

A Leupold VX-3HD 3.5-10x40 CDS-ZL scope with a 1 inch tube and Duplex reticle is installed, providing clear, adjustable magnification matched to the rifle's capability. The original Leupold scope box is included.
