The BPS Field is built around a steel, bottom-ejecting receiver and a top-tang safety, delivering Browning’s classic pump-action layout in a 20 gauge field configuration. This example retains its blued finish and features the gold Browning Buckmark on the trigger guard and a knurled magazine cap.
The 28 inch Special Steel barrel carries a vent rib and a single front bead for a clean sighting plane. It is chambered for both 2-3/4 inch and 3 inch shells and is fitted with a fixed Modified (M) choke, a versatile constriction for the Field series.
Furniture is checkered walnut with a pistol-grip profile and a Browning-marked hard buttplate. The stock’s cut checkering provides a secure hold, and the 14.25 inch length of pull offers a full-size fit.
Produced by Miroku in Japan in 1982, this shotgun comes from the fixed-choke period that preceded Browning’s Invector system. Capacity is 3 rounds, and the barrel is clearly roll-marked "Special Steel 20GA 2-3/4" AND 3" FIELD MODEL-28".
