The GRP Recon (Global Response Pistol) is Nighthawk Custom’s rail-equipped, full-size 1911 built on a steel frame and chambered in .45 ACP. This configuration pairs a government-length 5-inch barrel with an integral accessory rail on the dust cover for light or laser attachment.
Sighting is handled by tritium night sights: a dovetailed Trijicon-marked front and a low-profile rear with two tritium lamps. The slide includes front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation.
Controls and ignition parts are set up for performance and durability, including a beavertail grip safety, a left-side thumb safety, a skeletonized commander-style hammer, and a skeletonized three-hole long trigger with an overtravel screw.
Ergonomics are enhanced with G10 grip panels bearing Nighthawk medallions, checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing, a high undercut at the trigger guard, and a beveled magazine well opening. The pistol wears a matte finish.
