The 950BS Jetfire uses a tip-up carbon steel barrel that allows loading and unloading without retracting the slide. This extractorless design operates via simple blowback with a fixed ejector, a hallmark of the 950 series.
Made in the United States at Accokeek, Maryland, the slide is marked with Beretta USA origin. The BS update incorporates a manual thumb safety and an inertia firing pin, enhancing the safety suite while preserving the pistol’s compact profile.
The frame is aluminum alloy to keep weight around 10 oz unloaded, paired with a 2.4-inch barrel and an overall length of about 4.9 inches. It features an exposed spurred hammer, single-action trigger, and heel-type magazine release, with vertical rear slide serrations for purchase.
Fixed, low-profile sights consist of an integral front blade on the barrel and a rear notch in the slide. Black checkered plastic grips with Beretta medallions and the PB monogram on the slide complete the factory presentation.
