This 1936-dated Mauser P.08 Luger features the S/42 toggle code, a 4 inch (100 mm) barrel, and its hallmark short-recoil, toggle-locked action. It presents matching numbers on the pistol with last-two digits repeated on numerous small parts, and carries Mauser's 1936 E/63 acceptance cluster on the right receiver. The pistol comes with a brown leather hard-shell Luger holster and a Haenel "fxo"-coded, unnumbered replacement magazine.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

    What’s Included

    • 1x 8-round magazine, marked "fxo" and "P.08" (Haenel code), unnumbered
    • Brown leather hard-shell Luger P.08 holster

The chamber top is dated 1936 and the toggle is marked S/42, identifying Mauser production. It is chambered in 9mm Luger with an approximate 4 inch (100 mm) barrel, fixed sights (front blade and V-notch rear on the toggle), and an 8+1 capacity. The action is the classic short-recoil, toggle-locked Luger mechanism with a manual safety.

Construction is all-steel with a blued finish and straw-colored small parts, paired with checkered wood grips. A stock lug is present on the backstrap, as expected for the pattern. Size is full-size for the P.08 format.

Mauser eagle acceptance proofs appear on the right receiver, including the 1936 E/63-style acceptance cluster. Numerous small parts are number-matched with the last two digits repeated. Per the consignor's details, numbers are matched, with no numbers present on the grips and magazine.

Country of origin is Germany, produced in the 1930s. Included is a Haenel "fxo"-coded P.08 magazine that is unnumbered, along with a brown leather hard-shell Luger holster.
