The rifle is built on a stamped, dimpled AKM-pattern receiver with a ribbed top cover and AKM 45-degree gas block. It operates on a semi-automatic, gas-operated, long-stroke piston system and accepts standard double-stack 7.62x39 AK-pattern magazines, with a 30+1 capacity.
The 16.5-inch barrel is threaded with left-hand muzzle threads and currently has no muzzle device installed. The cleaning rod is present under the barrel. The bayonet lug pad under the gas block has been machined flush, rendering the lug non-functional.
Sights are traditional AKM iron sights: a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight with graduations marked in Eastern Arabic numerals. Markings include the Maadi pharaoh crest with a two-digit date code on the rear sight block and the A.C.C. INT/INTRAC Knoxville, TN Egypt import mark.
The rifle has been customized from its original thumbhole configuration to a standard layout, with a red-stained laminated buttstock and laminated palm-swell handguards, plus a left-side rear sling swivel. A brown phenolic, checkered pistol grip is installed. Length of pull measures 12.75 inches. The sale also includes the original laminated thumbhole furniture set, along with the Maadi factory Operation Manual and a final inspection certificate referencing this specific rifle.
