The M6A2 is LWRC International’s short-stroke gas piston AR-15 platform. The lower receiver is roll-marked "M6" with "5.56mm NATO" and serial "03-01215," and additionally bears "LWRC INTERNATIONAL" and "Cambridge, MD U.S.A." markings. The upper receiver is laser-marked "M6A2 5.56mm" with the LWRC logo and "MADE IN THE U.S.A." It uses a flat-top upper with a full-length Picatinny rail featuring numbered T-slots and selector pictograms. The receiver is aluminum alloy with a black hard-anodized finish and uses the AR-15/STANAG magazine interface.
The rifle runs a 14.5 inch steel barrel with a pinned and welded, ported muzzle brake/compensator to bring the overall barrel assembly length to approximately 16 inches. It is threaded from the factory and paired with a Samson Evolution Series 12.37 inch free-float aluminum handguard. Folding front and rear backup iron sights are installed.
Controls and furniture are thoughtfully upgraded: a Radian 45/90 ambidextrous safety selector, Magpul BAD Lever on the bolt catch, BCM charging handle, LaRue MBT trigger, Magpul CTR adjustable stock, and a Stark polymer pistol grip. The length of pull is approximately 10.5 to 13.5 inches.
A Holosun HS515G-M red-dot sight with a Scalarworks mount is installed, with flip caps and a honeycomb anti-reflection device already in place. The optic uses a red reticle. One 30-round magazine is included, and capacity is listed at 30+1.
