Product Description

Springfield Armory M1 Garand .30-06 Semi-Auto Rifle, 24" Barrel, 1942 WWII-Era, Parkerized Finish, Walnut Stock

This Springfield Armory M1 Garand is a 1942 WWII-era .30-06 semi-automatic rifle with a 24" barrel, parkerized steel, and walnut furniture. It features the classic right-side operating rod, robust forged receiver, and U.S. military iron sights. This example is in very good condition with a clean, excellent bore and comes with installed leather M1907-style sling.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.

Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: There are minor, superficial scratches and blemishes present.

    What's Included

    • No hard case included
    • Leather M1907-style two-piece sling (installed)
    • No en-bloc clips included

Built on the M1 platform, this gas-operated, semi-automatic rifle uses a rotating bolt and an internal box magazine fed by 8-round en-bloc clips. It automatically ejects the clip after the last round, and loads from the top through the clip slot.

The receiver is forged and heat-treated steel with a parkerized matte grey/green finish, complemented by walnut stock and handguards in an oil-type military finish. The stock has a straight comb with a semi-pistol-grip profile and a 13.0" length of pull.

Sighting is via iron sights: an aperture rear with windage and elevation knobs, and a protected front post. The right-side operating rod serves as the charging handle, staying true to the classic M1 manual of arms.

The gas cylinder assembly includes a stacking swivel and front sling swivel, and this rifle comes ready for the range or display with the installed M1907-style leather sling. The 1942 year of manufacture places it squarely in the WWII era of Springfield Armory production.
