This is an original Ruger M77 "R" Standard tang-safety rifle in .30-06 from 1983-84, built in the United States with a 22-inch sporter-profile barrel and blued finish. It features the classic walnut stock with checkering and Ruger appointments, integral scope bases with rings installed, and comes topped with a Bushnell Sportview 3-9x38 scope. The barrel is not fitted with iron sights.
Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

This M77R is the Standard tang-safety variant chambered in .30-06. It carries a 22-inch sporter-profile barrel with a plain crown and a clean, blued finish. Receiver markings read "RUGER M77," and the barrel is marked ".30-06 SPRG" along with the Ruger address warning. The barrel is not fitted with iron sights.
The action is the Ruger M77 Mauser-influenced push-feed design with a non-rotating external extractor and plunger ejector. The receiver has integral scope bases machined in, and Ruger rings are installed. The right-hand bolt has a round knob, and the tang-mounted safety is the hallmark of this early M77 configuration.
Feeding is via an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, offering a 4+1 capacity in .30-06. The rifle’s handling is supported by a 13.75-inch length of pull.
The walnut stock shows point-pattern checkering and classic Ruger details, including a black fore-end tip, black grip cap, Ruger medallion, and a red Ruger-logo recoil pad with black spacer. Sling swivel studs are installed.
Included is a Bushnell Sportview Wide Angle 3-9x38mm 1" SFP Duplex scope mounted in the Ruger rings, aligning with the M77’s integral base system and ready for sight-in.
