The P290RS employs a double-action-only, restrike-capable trigger system with no external manual thumb safety. This configuration delivers a consistent pull for every shot and allows a second-strike capability on a hard primer without cycling the slide.
Its iridescent multi-color finish defines the pistol’s look and extends to the slide catch, trigger, and takedown pin head. The slide features rear serrations for confident manipulation, while the polymer frame is finished in black and wears Hogue-branded textured grip panels for a secure hold.
Sight elements are dovetailed front and rear for robust retention and easy service. The rear sight is marked "MH3 AO." Additional factory markings include "MADE IN EXETER, NH" on the frame and "9MM PARA SIG" on the barrel hood.
This micro-size, single-stack 9mm includes one 8-round magazine for an 8+1 capacity when chambered.
