The M9 is a full-size Beretta 90 Series pistol chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4.9 in steel barrel and a 15+1 capacity. It uses a double-action/single-action system and includes an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker with red-dot safety indicators.
The open-top slide design features an integral fixed front blade with a white dot and a dovetailed rear notch. This model uses a short-recoil system with a falling locking block, consistent with the M9 configuration.
Built in the United States, the slide is correctly marked "U.S. 9mm M9 - BERETTA U.S.A. - 65490" with the oval PB monogram, and an additional "ASSY 9346487-65490" marking.
