The Next Generation 1911 configuration delivers classic Government-length handling with modern updates. It uses a forged stainless frame, slide, and 5 in bushing barrel, an internal extractor, and a flat serrated slide top. The two-tone finish pairs a black KimPro II slide with a satin stainless frame for a clean, durable presentation.
The slide is optics-ready with a direct-mount cut and ships with a cover plate that incorporates a plain rear notch; the front sight is a red fiber-optic blade in a dovetail. A CH-branded RMR/SRO mounting plate is included for those who want to add a compatible optic.
Controls and internals reflect a purpose-built 1911 setup: single-action operation with a skeletonized trigger featuring lightening cuts, a Commander-style skeletonized hammer, an ambidextrous thumb safety, and a beavertail grip safety. The pistol uses a GI-length guide rod and a bushing barrel for traditional takedown.
This example arrives configured with gray textured G10 grip panels installed, with additional wood panels featuring dark synthetic inlays included. Nominal capacity is up to 8+1 rounds, and approximate unloaded weight is 36.2 oz. Four magazines are included, with Wilson Combat examples present alongside unbranded steel magazines.
