This Thompson/Center Patriot in .45 caliber is a factory-engraved, single-shot percussion pistol built in Rochester, New Hampshire. It features a 9" octagonal barrel, double set triggers, adjustable rear target sight, and a hooded front-sight housing. The one-piece American walnut stock has a target-style grip, brass nosecap, and an engraved brass buttcap. The Patriot was discontinued after T/C's 1996 factory fire eliminated the model's tooling, adding notable context to this example.

The 9" octagonal barrel is secured by a single transverse wedge key with oval escutcheons and complemented by an under-rib with two ramrod pipes, reflecting the model's traditional muzzleloading architecture. The barrel's blued finish is complemented by factory color case-hardening on the lockplate, hammer, and decorative sideplate/escutcheons, presenting the classic look consistent with T/C's Patriot line.
Target-focused features include double set triggers for a crisp, tunable release and an adjustable rear target sight paired with a hooded front-sight housing. The open-sight configuration supports deliberate fire.
The one-piece American walnut stock has a target-style grip profile for steady handling. Brass furniture includes a nosecap and an engraved buttcap, adding functional durability and visual appeal.
Factory scroll engraving decorates the lockplate and the long decorative inlay on the lock side, as well as the buttcap. The opposite-side wedge-key escutcheon is plain. The barrel is marked "THOMPSON | CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE CAL 45," and the caplock uses a drum/bolster with nipple ignition. Produced in the United States as a reproduction model, the Patriot was discontinued after the 1996 T/C factory fire removed the dedicated tooling.
