This Mauser-Werke Oberndorf P.08 Luger is a wartime byf-code pistol produced in 1941–1942, near the end of Wehrmacht Luger manufacture. It retains its standard 4-inch service barrel, fixed sights, and checkered wood grips, with the rear toggle link stamped "42" and German military acceptance eagles on the right receiver and barrel shoulder. Notably, it comes with a U.S. Captured Enemy Equipment certificate dated February 8, 1946, which records the caliber as ".38 Luger" (a common U.S. GI shorthand for 9mm), and a period-correct Haenel "fxo" magazine with WaA37 proofs.
Numerous small parts are mismatched/renumbered.
