The CS v3 configuration pairs a compact 2011 platform with proprietary slim CS steel magazines for a 16+1 capacity in 9mm Luger. The single-action, hammer-fired system includes ambidextrous thumb safeties and a beavertail grip safety for consistent manual controls in a compact size.
Construction highlights include a 4140 billet steel slide with black DLC finish and a billet 7075-T6 aluminum frame. The polymer grip module carries aggressive texture with molded star logos, a flat-faced trigger, and a skeletonized hammer. A Dawson Precision dual captive recoil spring and guide-rod assembly supports the 3.5 in bull, non-threaded barrel.
Sight and mounting features consist of a fiber-optic front sight (green). Rear sight/optics plate configuration varies by plate. The slide is optics cut with a Dawson Precision plate and wears front and rear cocking serrations with an external extractor. The frame has a smooth dustcover with no accessory rail.
Additional details include factory-applied U.S. flag engraving on the left side of the frame and manufacturing in Florence, Texas, USA. This example is noted with a CS23 serial prefix, and the CS v3 model run concluded in late 2025.
