This AES-10 reflects the early configuration: an RPK-length 23-inch barrel paired with a standard fixed stock and no integrated bipod. It retains the ribbed top cover and the Romanian-marked selector positions of S and F, aligning with its Romanian factory origin.
The stamped steel receiver wears a matte black finish and uses a non-bulged front trunnion. It is the dimpleless receiver style with internal magwell reinforcement (stabilizer) plates; the exterior shows rows of circular spot-weld marks. A factory left-side optics rail is installed for side-rail mounts. Import marks read "MADE BY CN ROMARM SA/CUGIR IN ROMANIA, IMPORTED CAI GEORGIA, VT."
Furniture is classic wood with a clear lacquer finish, including matching upper and lower handguards and a fixed stock with a left-side sling swivel. The black polymer pistol grip provides a secure hold. The handguards are standard pattern without a carry-handle cutout, and no handle is installed. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches.
The rifle operates via a semiautomatic long-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt and a manual safety selector. Sighting is via a protected post front and an AK tangent rear. The barrel is threaded, and the thread protector is welded. It is compatible with AK-pattern box and drum magazines and ships with a 75-round drum plus two 30-round magazines.
