Marlin 336Y Spikehorn .30-30 Lever-Action Rifle, 16.25" Barrel, Youth-Length, Matte Blued, Micro-Groove
This Marlin 336Y Spikehorn is a compact, youth-length .30-30 lever-action carbine featuring a 16.25" barrel and hardwood stock with a 12.75" length of pull. It is an Ilion, New York–marked, Remington-era example with Micro-Groove rifling and a matte blued finish. Condition is excellent with a clean, shiny bore, making it a strong, ready-to-use carbine in the Spikehorn configuration.
The 336Y Spikehorn configuration delivers a handy profile with its 16.25" barrel and youth-length 12.75" LOP. The hardwood stock has a pistol-grip profile with checkering for secure handling. Twin barrel bands secure a full-length tubular magazine, and the rifle retains a uniform matte blued finish.
Sighting is classic and practical: a ramped front with dovetailed blade pairs with an elevation-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear. The receiver uses side ejection and is drilled and tapped for optics, offering straightforward scope installation if desired.
The barrel carries the "MICRO-GROOVE BARREL" roll-mark, and this example’s bore is excellent, showing a clean, mirror finish with sharp rifling. Chambered in .30-30, it holds 5+1 rounds in the tubular magazine.
Production markings include an Ilion, New York barrel rollmark consistent with Remington-era manufacture, and a laser-etched 2D/QR-style code adjacent to the serial area. Two-piece scope bases with rings are already installed on the receiver.
