The Model 795 operates on a blowback action with right-side charging and right-side ejection. It is designed around a detachable box magazine and incorporates a last-shot bolt hold-open. A cross-bolt safety provides straightforward, familiar operation.
The 18-inch blued barrel uses Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling, which is marked on the barrel. The bore condition is excellent with a clean, mirror finish and sharp rifling. The sporter-profile barrel keeps the package handy while maintaining accuracy potential typical of the platform.
The receiver includes integral 3/8-inch rimfire tip-off grooves for mounting. Open sights are configured with an adjustable rear sight using a stepped elevator; the front sight assembly is not installed, and the factory mounting provision is present at the front sight position.
The black synthetic stock features a Monte Carlo comb and molded checkering for a steady hold, along with sling swivel studs for easy sling attachment. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
