This Government-size 5-inch 1911A1 is built in the GI configuration with frame relief cuts behind the trigger, an arched mainspring housing, a long, skeletonized trigger with lightening holes, and a spur hammer. It retains GI-style controls including a left-side thumb safety and grip safety, along with an unbeveled magazine well for a traditional service profile.
The slide has rear-only vertical serrations with no front serrations, a lowered/scalloped ejection port, and fixed GI-pattern sights. The front is a GI-style fixed blade, and the rear is a fixed notch, matching the classic service layout.
Construction is all steel, with a 4140 steel frame casting and a 4140 steel slide finished in matte grey. Brown checkered grip panels complete the straightforward, utilitarian appearance.
Markings include "MODEL 1911A1 U.S. ARMY" on the slide and "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP., WORCESTER, MA" on the frame. Production is in the United States under the Kahr Firearms Group.
