The USC uses a simple blowback, closed-bolt, semi-automatic action paired with HK's signature polymer construction. The frame and fixed, skeletonized thumbhole stock are glass-fiber-reinforced polymer in black, with the stock integral to the lower receiver for a rigid, lightweight assembly.
Controls are modern and ambidextrous. A bilateral 2-position safety/selector with HK pictograms is present on both sides. HK push-pin style takedown points simplify field-stripping. A front sling loop is integrated at the barrel trunnion area for straightforward carry setup.
The 16 in barrel is unthreaded and chambered for .45 ACP. Capacity is 10+1, and this carbine includes two factory 10-round magazines marked HK USC .45 ACP Made in Germany. The receiver and frame wear a consistent black finish that matches the stock assembly.
Markings and provenance details are comprehensive. German CIP proof marks and the Ulm antler are present, along with DE and the CC date code. The importer mark reads Heckler & Koch Inc., Columbus, GA. The serial number is repeated on the barrel, ejection-port block, and the stock web.
