The P220 R2 pairs an aluminum-alloy frame with a stainless-steel slide for a durable, carryable full-size .45 ACP. It retains the proven DA/SA layout with a decocking lever, slide catch, and takedown lever on the left side, plus a push-button magazine release and a spurred hammer.
The factory R2 optics-ready slide features an optic cut with a two-screw cover plate, along with front and rear cocking serrations for confident slide manipulation. Dovetailed iron sights are installed, with both front and rear sights set in dovetail cuts for secure fitment.
A railed dustcover provides four Picatinny-type cross-slots for mounting compatible accessories. The checkered wood grips offer a positive grasp, and the curved, smooth-face trigger supports controlled DA and crisp SA presses.
Capacity is 8+1 with .45 ACP, and the included magazines are factory-marked "SIG SAUER P220-1 45." The frame is marked "SIG SAUER INC., NEWINGTON-NH-USA," reflecting its U.S. manufacture in 2026 as part of the Classic Line.
