The Delta Elite line is Colt's factory 10mm 1911, first introduced in 1987. This example reflects the post-2016 production update identified as Model O2020XE and built in the United States. It uses stainless steel for both frame and slide, with brushed flats and matte rounds for a clean, purposeful finish.
It retains the Government-size 5-inch barrel and standard 1911 takedown with no full-length guide rod. The slide has rear-only diagonal cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port. Slide markings include "DELTA ELITE" on the left and "COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL" on the right, with "COLT 10MM AUTO" on the barrel hood.
Controls and internals follow the 1911 pattern: single-action, short-recoil operation with a left-side manual thumb safety and a grip safety. The trigger is a lightweight 3-hole design, and the hammer is a skeletonized Commander-style profile for fast, consistent lockwork.
Sighting equipment is straightforward and durable, with dovetailed fixed 3-dot sights (white-dot front and low-mount white-dot rear).
