This Browning BT-99 Plus is a purpose-built 12 gauge trap shotgun with a 34 inch barrel, back-bored Invector-Plus system, and the adjustability serious shooters look for. Factory scroll engraving, Japanese production, and a clean, mirror-finish bore set it apart. It comes with the original fitted hard case and multiple choke tubes, and the serial number includes the NZ date code.

Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Specific Condition Notes: The adjustable rib shows noticeable finish wear, and the mid bead has been repainted poorly. There is a small crack in the butt near the recoil reducer. Barrel fit is good. The firing pin is slightly pitted. There is a good amount of life remaining in the locking lug.
The ejector is not functioning consistently. The recoil reducer may need to be adjusted or replaced.

This example features a 34 inch steel barrel that is back-bored and threaded for the Browning Invector-Plus system, paired with a single-shot break-action and a single trigger. Capacity is one round, purpose-built for trap.
The Plus configuration brings extensive stock adjustability. It has an adjustable comb, an adjustable buttplate, a recoil-reduction system, and adjustable length of pull. The provided LOP is set at 14.25 inches. The stock is gloss-finished walnut with a neutral grip and palm swell, and the forend is a walnut beavertail with release latch and cut checkering.
Markings and origin are correct for this model and era. The receiver is blued steel with factory scroll engraving and marked "Browning BT-99 PLUS." The barrel is rollmarked "INVECTOR-PLUS BT-99 SPECIAL STEEL 12GA. SHELLS 2 3/4"" and lists U.S. patent numbers 4,875,308 and 4,919,904. The left side carries "Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q." with "Made in Japan." The serial number includes the NZ date code.
The Invector-Plus choke system is represented here with Browning IMOD and FULL tubes, plus a Comp-N-Choke '15' extended ported tube.
