This U.S.-made, DA/SA revolver comes drilled and tapped on the topstrap (with plug screw installed) and wears factory S&W textured synthetic finger-groove grips.

This 686-6 Plus is the 7-shot L-frame variant, offering one extra round over traditional .357 Magnum K-frames while retaining a manageable size. The 3-inch barrel provides a compact profile with the stability of a full underlug and a serrated top rib to reduce glare.
Sights are iron and sight picture focused, with a pinned red-ramp front blade and a fully adjustable rear, making it easy to dial in different .357 Magnum or .38 Special loads. The topstrap is drilled and tapped at the factory and fitted with a plug screw.
The revolver is double-action/single-action and includes Smith & Wesson's internal key lock. The fluted, 7-shot cylinder pairs with a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive extraction. The yoke is correctly stamped "686-6," and the stainless steel construction carries a uniform satin finish across the frame, cylinder, and barrel.
